With a shared love for the game of tennis, we embarked on a wonderful journey to create a variety of opportunities for personal growth and development, both on and off the court..

MEET OUR FOUNDERS

David Ensignia and his son, David Ensignia Jr, are the brilliant visionaries behind the inspiring DETA Friends Foundation.

Their deep passion for the sport of tennis, coupled with their genuine desire to give back to the community, has been the unwavering driving force behind our foundation's remarkable success.

Their steadfast dedication to promoting the core values of tennis and their heartfelt commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others have truly inspired us all to strive for excellence.

Our Mission

Our mission is clear: to promote tennis as a vehicle for personal development, inclusivity, and community building. We believe that tennis has the unique ability to instill discipline, teamwork, and resilience in individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

Our Programs

  • Tennis instruction for people of all ages

  • Youth tennis camps

  • Wheelchair tennis (the only ongoing program in Miami-Dade County)

  • Pickleball clinics for youth and adults
